Bughammer!

Warpriest, now with big swords...

Get over here.

Inspired by the Headless Horseman, the "Riderless Horse's" career as a scary icon seemed short-lived.

Perhaps it's your silly looking hat battling with your head for dominance.

Now cough.

Game breaking!

Timber!

Helga was suspicious about Bertrand's claims that he was 'not' a mutant.

A new Warpriest skill that summons a bunch of logs to encircle you.

Potential.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. At other times a new skill is worth 70,000 damage. Enter Soulfire, a six point wrath skill.

Soulfire: Deals 345 damage over 9 seconds to all enemies within 30 feet.

Like most area effect abilities Soulfire relies on getting close to as many enemies as you can and not dying before you can reap the benefits of dotting up an entire group. This combined with the basic skill Smite allows you rack up some pretty impressive damage.

However, there is one massive problem with this build. While you are channeling this ability you will almost certainly be standing in the open with people smacking you hard. That 2 second cast time feels like 10 seconds and as soon as people realize what you are doing you will be a major target.

Another big drawback of Soulfire is that it can be interrupted and the push-back from melee attacks means it's next to useless in a PvE environment where you are soloing.

Jason and I hit a wall.

Jared logged off in the lowbie zone where we were capturing flags. The server was nearly dead. The only person we ran into was a dwarf who had just randomly joined our group and ended up following us like a lost puppy. That's the thing about open groups, you never know who will be joining you.

Jason and I, determined to go to the second tier zone hoofed our way through the reddish brown valleys of the dwarf zone. Ultimately our path was blocked by a portal that just didn't want to let us through. Perhaps it knew our intentions. Our puppy-dwarf, realizing that we weren't coming abandoned us, leaving us to our own devices.

Not wanting to make this trip deep into noobie-land without some sort of reward we decided to explore the zone. Our adventure was short lived however when we ran into the greenskin starting town and turned into chickens. Jason was eviscerated for 30,000 damage, while I was clobbered by a newbie for 300. The end result was the same, we both ended up back where we started.

We decided to recall to our respective zones and fly to the tier 2 chaos/human pvp area. I arrived, narrowly beating the countdown for the renown reward by a fraction of a second. After another twenty minutes of walking aimlessly and murdering people ten levels our lesser I called it a night, or a morning. A glorious blood soaked morning which I was determined to sleep through.

Quick Chapter 9 Influence Grind.

For grinding chapter 9 influence you have two options. The first option is the zombies in the town right above the fork in the river in the south-east section of the map, or the forest of shadows which is located directly west of it. The town is a good place to grind, if you are level 18 or higher. Below that level, I suggest going to the the forrest of shadows.

The forest of shadows has two kinds of mobs, a 'Gor raider', and a boar with hundreds of horns. They are both level 17-18, which is a little easier to fight if you haven't yet made it to a point where fighting 1-2 level 20 zombies is an appealing idea. The tier 1 of this public quest is "collect 40 boxes of supplies." Each box is worth 100 influence. The boxes respawn very quickly, sometimes one will respawn while you're picking up another one. If there is no one else in the area you can farm about 4000 influence in about 5 minutes. Wait till the timer resets and do it again. I suggest heading over to the zombie area if you're at a loss for things to do while you wait the 10 minutes.

As you can see from this screen-shot; you can be pretty far away from those boxes when you loot them. However there are some infrequent patrols that like to sneak up on you so check behind you from time to time.

Good luck with the grinding, I don't know what all the rewards are, but I got a very decent weapon out of the deal.
